This notice is intended for MobileTel Internet customers with home security systems.

     If you are intending to upgrade your current dialup service to DSL service or already have done so, there is a matter we would like to call to your attention. MobileTel DOES NOT recommend installing DSL on the same line as your home security system. Some of these alarm systems were built prior to the dramatic growth of the Internet and may not function properly when sharing a phone line with a DSL connection. DSL uses the capabilities of the telephone line that are not used by the regular telephone conversation for the delivery of high speed data.

     If a customer chooses to have DSL installed on the same line as their home security system, MobileTel recommends that you contact your alarm system provider to seek specialized filters and/or connection configurations from them. Accordingly, MobileTel Internet and DSL will not be held responsible for any interruptions in your home security service.
